It's simple, I love yoga and my overall philosophy is that I believe yoga is for everyone, and I want every single person to believe and trust that they too can practice it no matter age, size, health or gender. Yoga is supposed to feel good. As your teacher I want you to trust me to guide your body to feel the absolut best it ever has. All I ask for is a curious student.
I was born and raised in Denmark, but since I fell in love with my Canadian husband in Mexico in 2007, we created a home here in paradise with our gorgeous and loyal rescue dog. I did my Bachelor of Education in Denmark, which I loved, however I still felt like it wasn't truly what I was supposed to do. That is when I decided to take my yoga practice to the next level and become a teacher so I could share my passion for yoga alongside my experience in teaching.
I took my 200 hour yoga teacher training at RYS certified YYoga in Vancouver, Canada. The depth and complexity of this particular program was what made me fall even deeper in love with yoga and teaching. I realised what a truly important role and responsibility you have as a yoga teacher. You can have an incredible impact on how others feel emotionally and physically. Half the course consisted of an important focus on safety and anatomy which I believe, at times, is an overlooked part of yoga. This taught me exactly how to teach a safe, alignment-based and feel good yoga class.
